Eric Weisser - Co-Founder & Director

Coach Weisser was a South Dakota State Doubles finalist before coming to Mankato to play tennis for the Mavericks.  As a freshman, he was named second team all-conference.  After his playing career was over, he was hired as the assistant mens and womens tennis coach at MSU. He stayed in that role for three and a half years.  During the summer, Eric was the Junior Tennis Director at Camp Mah-Kee-Nac in Lexox, MA.  He managed a staff of 15 instructors and oversaw a program that taught tennis to 300 campers each day.

In 2004 Eric graduated from Winona State University with a degree in Business Education.  He was hired as a business education teacher at Mankato West.  At the same time, he was also hired as the head boys and girls tennis coach.  In 2010, Eric was named the Big 9 Girl's coach of the year, and the Section 2AA coach of the year.  Eric is married to Emily Weisser and is the owner of www.TurnTwoTickets.com.

Andy Krueger - Director

Winona native. Played in junior team tennis as a junior. Member of 1995 Big 9 Champion and state ranked Winona High School boys tennis team.  Spent 3 seasons as a middle school coach in Mankato, before becoming Mankato East girl's head coach and assistant boys coach.  In 2009 was named Big 9 Girl's Tennis Coach of the Year.

After spending several years in business went into teaching and was 2005-2006 student of the year at the U of M in the Business Education program.

Heather Jensen - Instructor and Sports Management Intern

Mankato East High School graduate, where she was a five year letter winner, and played number one singles as a senior.   Heather is a current member of the MSU womens tennis team. This season, as a junior, Heather had a singles record of 17-5 and was an NSIC singles all conference honorable mention.

Heather is a sports management undergrad at Minnesota State University, Mankato.

Tony Smith - Intructor

Tony graduated from Mankato West in 2000 where he was captain of the boy's tennis team his junior and senior year. He played tennis at Luther College in Decorah, IA. Tony has been a teaching pro for the past 10 years in Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Colorado. In Wisconsin he was co-director of the tennis program for a boys camp and in Colorado he was the lead instructor of the Gonzo Tennis Junior Academy.

In 2008, Tony finished his Master's degree in philosophy from the University of Colorado, Boulder and is currently an adjunct instructor of philosophy at MSU.

Ryan Fredrickson - Instructor

Ryanis a graduate of Mankato West High School and he most recently graduated from Minnesota State University with a degree in Pyschology . He played number 1 singles for Mankato West High School and Mankato State University. He's coached team tennis for 4 seasons, Mankato East Junior Varsity girls tennis for 2 seasons, and Mankato West Junior Varsity boys for 4 seasons. Mitch Johnson - Instructor

Mitch is a graduate of Mankato West High School and he most recently graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Mathematics degree. He played number 1 singles for Mankato West High School and Mankato State University. Emily Weisser - Instructor

Emily is a Fairmont High School graduate and was a three year letter winner and member of two state participant teams.  As a senior Emily qualified for the AA State Doubles tournament.  After graduating, Emily played one year at the University of St. Thomas.  Emily has worked as a tennis instructor for the YMCA and the Fairmont Community Education.

In 2009, Emily was the coach of the Mankato 18 Intermediate team that earned a bid to the USTA JTT National Championships in Mobile, Alabama.  The team finished 12th in the country.

Emily works at Dakota Meadows Middle School during the school year, and also coaches the Dakota Meadows Middle School Girl's tennis team.  She can be contacted for private lessons or for questions at eweiss2@isd77.k12.mn.us.
